INTRODUCTION

Ladakh, also known as the Land of Passes, is a region in Northern India that was declared a separate union territory in 2019 by Indian government. Earlier, this was part of another Indian state (now union territory) - Jammu and Kashmir.

Ladakh is the place where you can closely connect with nature and serenity around. Buddhism is prevalent in Ladakh - one can witness the essence of Buddhism here, while visiting the various popular spots.

Ladakh is one of the highest regions in the world, comprising of hilly terrains, high altitude peaks and the lush green grasslands, and situated at an elevation of 2750 - 7672 meters above sea level.

There are no train stations in Ladakh, so trains cannot be taken to the place. But there are buses connecting the neighboring popular cities to Leh, such as Manali, Delhi, and some other places in Himachal, Haryana, Punjab, etc.
